One Potential Problem
We have an “invisible fence”, which works on a very similar principle. The issue is that when I “beep” her or “zap” her at home, she becomes very confused.
She got it all. It’s AWESOME.

Unbelievable!
We debated about this item due to the idea of shocking our dog. Within 15 minutes (with only 1 time actually having to use “shock” correction) he was listening when doing the training techniques outlined in the instructions.
As other reviewers have said, the tone seems to now be enough to “correct” him.. I also agree that the positive tone seems to not make sense and we have not used it.
Although there has been much controversy over the use of electronic collars for dogs, when used as instructed they can be quite an effective training tool. The device has eight settings which give a momentary stimulation and eight setting for extended stimulation. However, the proper use of the dog obedience training collar should be followed. The settings can be tested by trying it on yourself to see what it feels like at each level. Most people find that 4 is the typical level for providing the best training.
